What is Myrcene?

Myrcene is one of the most frequently found terpenes in cannabis today and also one of the most dominant ones. It’s considered one of the ten primary terpenes. Myrcene is also found in mangos, lemongrass, basil, and hops! The smell consists of an earthy, peppery aroma with a hint of sweet fruity undertones and notes of mango and balsam. Some studies on animals have found Mycrene to be a muscle relaxant and offer pain relief to rodents but studies have yet to confirm if humans can benefit from these effects.
